Trauma Therapy & EMDR

Support to help you process a painful event, calm your nervous system, and feel safe in your own body

What Is Trauma Therapy?

Trauma therapy helps you process a painful event or a hard chapter so it stops controlling your day-to-day life. Our trauma-trained therapists use evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), Brainspotting, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to help your mind and body process and heal from distressing experiences.

You do not have to relive every detail to heal. We move at a pace you set, so the work feels supportive rather than overwhelming. We support your healing from trauma, including sexual, emotional, and physical trauma, childhood and adolescent trauma, grief and loss, and traumatic birth or NICU experiences.

What living with trauma can feel like

  • You avoid people, places, or reminders of an awful event or time in your life

  • You feel uneasy, restless, or panicked when your mind goes there

  • You sense dread when you think about your life

  • You do not feel good about who you were

  • You struggle to feel confident within yourself

  • Your past keeps surfacing in the present, even when you want to move on

How We Help

Our trauma-trained therapists draw from approaches proven to help with trauma:

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): EMDR helps the brain reprocess traumatic experiences and memories so they feel less raw. It can work without long retellings, which makes it a gentler option when talking through every detail feels like too much.

Brainspotting: Our Brainspotting-informed care uses neuroscience-informed approaches to reach and release where trauma is held in the body, so you can process and heal from distressing experiences.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: We use Trauma-Focused CBT to help you heal through narrative work, gently making sense of what happened at a pace that feels safe.

Trauma-Informed Care: Across every approach, we keep safety and choice at the center, help you calm your nervous system and manage triggers, and work on the self-worth and beliefs trauma can leave behind.
