Megan Brewer,
Administrative Supervisor
Hi there! I'm Megan, and I'm the Administrative Supervisor at Modern Thrive Counseling, supporting both our Madison-East and Waunakee locations. My goal is to help our practice run smoothly behind the scenes so that our clinicians can focus on what matters most—providing exceptional care to the individuals, couples, and families we serve. Whether I'm managing insurance billing, coordinating administrative operations, supporting our team, or helping improve practice systems, I enjoy finding ways to create a seamless experience for both our clients and clinicians.
Helping others has always been at the center of my career. After earning my bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Central Florida in 2022, I discovered that I was most fulfilled when supporting people's overall well-being. My passion for both physical and mental wellness led me to opportunities as a personal trainer before joining Modern Thrive Counseling, where I found a team whose mission and values closely align with my own. I am currently pursuing my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and look forward to continuing my journey of serving others in new and meaningful ways.
Originally from sunny Florida, I recently made Wisconsin my home, although I spent many summers here growing up. I love the sense of community the Midwest offers and enjoy sharing life here with my amazing husband and our Labrador Retriever, Nellie. Outside of work, you'll often find us hiking, swimming, exploring new places, or spending time outdoors. Having grown up with horses on a farm, I've always had a deep appreciation for animals and nature, and Wisconsin has provided the perfect place to continue enjoying both.
I believe that creating a welcoming, organized, and supportive environment can make a meaningful difference in a person's experience. Whether I'm assisting with billing, answering questions, supporting our clinicians, or working behind the scenes to keep our practice operating efficiently, I strive to help every person who interacts with Modern Thrive Counseling feel cared for from their very first connection with us.
Jessica Mommaerts
Clinic Coordinator
Madison East
Hello there! I’m Jess, your Clinic Coordinator at the Madison Eastside Locations.
I believe that every person deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and supported from their very first interaction. Reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, and I hope to make every step of the process a little easier by creating a warm, organized, and caring experience for our clients.
My background includes more than 10 years in healthcare administration, insurance, and patient support, along with several years of owning my own small business. Throughout my career, I;ve enjoyed helping people, building relationships, and creating environments where others feel comfortable and cared for. I;m currently working toward my Bachelor of Science in Psychology through the University of Wisconsin–Stout’s online program. Learning more about human behavior and mental wellness has deepened my appreciation for the importance of compassionate, inclusive, accessible care, and I’m grateful to be part of a team that believes every person deserves to be treated with kindness, dignity, and understanding.
Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time in nature through gardening and hiking with my partner, exploring new places with my teen daughters, journaling, and meditation. I strive to live with gratitude, be present in each day, and foster genuine connections with others.
I look forward to being one of the first people you meet at Modern Thrive Counseling and helping you feel supported from the moment you reach out.
Heather Pulvermacher
Clinic Coordinator Waunakee
Hi there! I'm Heather, and I'm the Clinic Coordinator at Modern Thrive Counseling's Waunakee location. I know that reaching out for support can be a big step, so I strive to make every interaction a welcoming and positive experience. Whether I'm answering questions, helping with scheduling, or greeting you when you arrive, my goal is to help each person feel comfortable, valued, and supported from the very beginning.
Caring for others has always been at the heart of who I am. I genuinely enjoy building meaningful relationships and creating an environment where people feel seen, heard, and cared for. Before joining Modern Thrive Counseling, I spent much of my career in the dog care industry, where I developed lasting relationships with both pets and their families—many of whom have become lifelong friends. That experience strengthened my passion for providing compassionate service, listening with empathy, and helping people feel supported during every interaction.
Outside of work, you'll often find me spending time with my two Keeshonds, Levi and Sully, who are my favorite hiking and swimming companions. I also enjoy cheering on my niece and nephew at their sporting events, getting lost in a good book, and baking. As the owner of a small cottage bakery, I love sharing homemade treats with others and finding joy in bringing people together.
I believe that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a lasting impact. My hope is that every person who walks through our doors feels welcomed, respected, and cared for. I'm honored to be part of the Modern Thrive Counseling team and look forward to helping make your experience with us as smooth, comfortable, and supportive as possible.
